Last blog post of 2018: A new Overkillcoin animation "McDownTrends", a sampler of the recent World Beyond album (+ another track), some Better Than The Book album updates + Happy Holidays and see you in 2019!
Hello everyone and I hope you've had a great week since the last blog post. As always it's been busy times over at JabunAudio, and this week I've been especially occupied trying to wrap up as many projects as possible (or at least get them to a good check-point) before I close up shop for the winter tomorrow. In this final blog post of 2018, I've got some last minute projects to share which have been great fun to work on + some updates on upcoming things to look forward to in 2019. Without further wait, let's get started!
First of all, this year hasn't been too busy in terms of animation work, but it looks like luck was on my side last week for some last minute audio post-production fun before the holidays! I'm super excited to present to you the latest parody animation by Mr Overkillcoin, and the satirical artist/animator is poking fun at cryptocurrency once again in his latest project "McDownTrends"! I did the audio mixing for this one, and it's great fun to be working with him again after our last collaboration in 2014! Check out McDownTrends:
Next this week, I have another couple of videos to share from World Beyond and this time it's a compilation of lots of clips from each of the 22 songs on our recent collaborative album (a sampler medley of what it's all about if you want to quickly explore the vibe) as well as another full new track "Renegade Radio"! I hope you enjoy them and remember that "Nobody Asked For This So I Did It" is available to listen to and purchase in full on bandcamp via the link below (coming to iTunes and other major digital distributors shortly):
Finally this week, just a little update on the upcoming Better Than The Book album! It's been a very busy month with other things so I've not had as much time as I'd have liked to work on it over the past few weeks, but in the last few days since finishing up client and collaborative work, I've had some time to get back to mixing. As it currently stands 4/10 tracks are in a great state ready for some final tweaks and mix assessments when the rest of the tracks are all at the same level, and the 5th mix is very nearly there too, so hopefully I should be able to finish it this afternoon after posting the blog. I think this project's definitely going to be one for me to take my time with, but I'm positive that it's some of my best production work yet, so I've no doubt that any delays will all be worth it! Looking forward to sharing it with you all in the coming year, and remember that you can get sneak peeks of what I'm working on with the $10 DEMOlition Pigeon tier when you support my music on Patreon if you can't wait to hear more. Exciting times!
And with that, that concludes the final blog post of 2018! My final afternoon before closing up tomorrow will no doubt be spent finishing off the 5th mix for the upcoming Better Than The Book album, and after that, it's time for a well earned break! Thanks as always for supporting JabunAudio and my various project and I hope you have a great holiday season, final few weeks of 2018, and a great start to the New Year! See you in 2019, and next time (which'll be Thursday 10th of January) we'll be reflecting on the accomplishments of 2018 (and December) and setting some new goals and targets for the future! All the best, a huge Happy Holidays from JabunAudio, and take care.
Hehe :D Enjoy it when you do see it. Me too and hope you have a good time whatever you get up to :)
Sounds like a great plan :) As for me, it looks like I've gotten ill just in time for Christmas... catching up on stuff and relaxing though, so that's a plus :) Merry Christmas to you too!
Aw man. Guess all that work and finally winding down: this is what happens? :) Hope you quickly recoup, get lots of real soup, and still feel thrilled with the group and Christmas due crew! And cool when it's through, just waiting for New Year and huge shares of beautiful; booming musical scoops to endue!
Hehe, I blame public transport. Those trains are like giant germ incubators at this time of the year XD I swear I was fine when I got on, and already had a super sore throat by the time I got off... Mostly healed up now, just a bit of a cough :) Lots of tasty soup has been consumed too (amongst many other things :D) Wishing you a good New Years celebration too! All the best!
Cheers & *Thumbs up* :D
