Last post for 3 weeks: Jabun - Daydream album release date announcement (May 4th) and cover art revealed + something fun from Better Than The Book and some more updates!

It's the last blog post before I head away for Easter, and it's been a busy week sorting out the final admin things for the debut Jabun album release as well as writing up the accounts for this tax year just ended (so many spreadsheets!). All sorted now though so I can hopefully switch off and take a break for a little while. Looking forward to it! Anyways, before we get onto the main news this week: the release date and album art unveiling for my debut album as Jabun - Daydream, just a quick update from Fun Station 4 Kids! The new "3 Little Raptors & the Beanstalk" and "Humpty Dumpty" animations are now available to watch on Newgrounds, so if you're a Newgroundian, feel free to check them out and leave a comment if you'd like. With that announced, let's get onto the main news for this week! Hope you're as excited as I am!

It's been quite a while in the making but I'm so glad to have been able to share the journey with you all, and after many months of hard work, listening and musical exploration, my debut album as Jabun - Daydream is finally 100% complete and ready for release! All the admin work is sorted (apart from waiting for the worldwide distribution approval which is due to arrive imminently), all the streams for sharing online once the album goes live have been uploaded to their various sites, artwork is done, beta testers have given their thumbs up, projects archived, etc.... Apart from making it public, the project is well and truly finished, so without further delay, I'm super excited to announce that Daydream by Jabun will be released on bandcamp in just under 4 weeks, on the 4th of May! I can't wait to share it with you all!

The album will also be available for streaming in the usual places (YouTube, Newgrounds, Soundcloud, etc...) as well as available on iTunes and other major digital retailers worldwide shortly after the initial Bandcamp release. For those who do decide to purchase the album on Bandcamp though, I've included some extra bonus items such as full resolution album art, an alternative album cover + a photo from the first day of album production, just as a little thank you for supporting me directly. Can't wait to show this to you all and I hope you enjoy the music I've poured my heart into. Secondly and lastly for the news this week, now that the Jabun Daydream album has been wrapped up, I'll definitely be taking a little break to clear my head. Having said that, I barely go more than a few weeks these days without working on some new music, so in the not too distant future I'll be getting started on a new Better Than The Book album! I've plenty of song ideas and snippets recorded since Two Years On and I can't wait to be working on some ska-punk again! The BTTB production times tend to take a lot longer than the Jabun tracks due to all the live recording involved, but I hope to release a new album at some point next year (2018). No details I can share yet, but I can't wait to take you on another ska-punk adventure!
   In the mean time though, while my computer was backing up yesterday and I was unable to work on any music, I decided to make some playlists on the BTTB YouTube Channel to get back into the mood for making more ska / pop-punk / alt-rock tunes! At first they were more intended as playlists of my musical inspirations to skate to, but I thought it'd be cool to share them with you all here as I'm pleased with the way they turned out! There are 12 playlists in total, each with 20 track featuring a ton of popular and not so popular punk / ska / metal / rock bands that inspire me and of course one BTTB track in each playlist too. Playlist 12 is a covers / mash-ups special too which was especially fun. As mentioned previously I'll be heading away for the next 2 weeks, so I'll be unavailable for audio work until April 28th, but I'll try my best to keep up to date with messages in the mean time.
