Hello everyone, and man has it been a busy week since the last post, so much so that I had to cut down the title quite substantially just to fit the character limit here on the website (and that's a very rare occurrence)! As you can probably see from that, there's a whole bunch of new music and news to share with you this week, and this is going to be a long post, so let's get straight to it!
First of all in this post, this week World Beyond finally released our new collaborative alternative metal album "Nobody Asked For This So I Did It"! I think I said everything I wanted to say about it in the previous post here, but here's an official press release statement about the project from the main man himself, Vladimir Kuznetsov! Congrats on the release my friend, and looking forward to the next collaboration already! """ Vladimir Kuznetsov and Nicholas Standing present a brand new World Beyond album "Nobody Asked For This So I Did It". For the past 2 years we've been working on a new release, an album which draws inspiration from the music we listened to during our high school and university years. From the early 2000s to this day, the alternative and metal music genres have been a major part of both our lives. They were always there for us when we needed them, countless songs by badass bands and artists within reach right in our pockets. They empowered and encouraged us, helped us deal with pain and hardships, they were a way to vent and a way to find out there were people in this world like us, with thoughts and feelings we could relate to. And today we want to bring you a soundtrack for the reality you are living, no matter where you are in life, if you ever feel like nobody cares what you do or who you are. As you put your headphones on, we want you to have something to carry with you, and to tune into whenever you most need it. We want you to feel confident; we want you to feel strong. "Nobody Asked For This So I Did It" Heavy Rock Delivery Ready For Pickup """ The album is available now to listen to andpurchase on bandcamp, and will be coming to iTunes and other major digital retailers soon, as well as the World Beyond YouTube channel! Check out the album via the embedded Bandcamp player below (remember to start from track 01), and if you like it, go show Vlad some support! You can also check out the visualisers for tracks 03 & 04, "Driving Force" & "From Under The Rock" via the YouTube videos below, and Vlad tells me there'll be many more of those to come in the future! We hope you enjoy it!
The album has also now been added to the JabunAudio music collaborations portfolio, so if you're ever wanting to listen but can't find it here in the blog, just head over there. Secondly this week, I'm super excited to share with you a brand new (sort of) Better Than The Book seasonal bonus track which is also the first new track I've released since I joined Patreon, "Stars Racing"! I wanted to do something a little different but relatively simple for this year's seasonal bonus track while I'm busy working on the upcoming BTTB album, and so I thought I'd give this mashup a try featuring "Hearts Racing" from the Two Years On album (which'll be next month's Patreon reward), and the infamous and highly memed "All Star" by Smash Mouth! Whether you're a patron or not, you can check out the track via the YouTube video below, and I hope you get a kick out of it! (I thought it worked surprisingly well!). As yesterday was the first Wednesday of the month too, I've just sent out rewards to the $1 & $2 patrons, mp3s and artwork (and WAVs for the $2 Hi-Fi Pigeons) for 3 Patreon exclusive Better Than The Book bonus tracks: The 2017 instrumental demo of Meteor Shower, 2018's April Fools prank "MLGG", and this new mashup track "Stars Racing"! If all those rewards sound good to you, then become a patron for as little as $1 a month to download this music and all previous rewards for your tier including the One Small Step EP and last month's collection of tracks, and I look forward to sharing the Two Years On album with you next month! Without further wait, I hope you enjoy "Stars Racing"! Next this week, it's the beginning of another month which means another JabunAudio music production newsletter has been sent out! This month is going to be one for the ska and pop punk heads as I'll be discussing how to create space for a horn section in a guitar heavy ska-punk mix! If that sounds interesting to you, sign up for free on the JabunAudio home page, I hope you enjoy it, and be sure to share with anyone you think would be interested! And continuing with the usual first post of the month traditions, let's take some time to reflect on last month's goals and set some new ones for December! Here were November's goals: 1) Finish editing all the tracks on the BTTB album ready for mixing 2) Finish the mystery bonus track for Patreon! 3) Make 1 solid mix for the new album And looks like we did well! 1) was finished prior to starting mixing (though looks like I may have a couple of little edits to do in some of the mixes later), 2) was of course referring to "Stars Racing" which is out now, and with 3 solid mixes under my belt for the new album already, 3) is certainly done too! The added bonus of finishing and releasing the new World Beyond album was an unexpected addition to the the list, so I can undoubtedly say that November has been a great month for progression! With those things reflected on, lets set some new goals for December: 1) Have 5 mixes finished for the new Better Than The Book album 2) Write 3 more articles for the JabunAudio newsletter 3) Schedule the holiday time Patreon posts (i.e.: next months rewards) It looks like December is going to be a very busy month for me as well as only being here for two thirds of it, so I'm not sure how many of these goals will get done, but it's what I'm aiming for. Since 3 mixes are already done for the new BTTB album, with the 4th quite far along, I hope that another 2 over the next 2 weeks should be doable along with my other work, but we'll have to see. Writing articles for the JabunAudio newsletter isn't a particularly high priority at the moment, so as long as I have 1 article ready for the start of January, I should be ok to leave the other 2 for January's goals. Finally, the last goal is mainly so that I don't have to work over the winter break, even though I'll have my laptop with me during the holidays. It shouldn't be too difficult to pull off and may take some time, but I'd certainly like to get it done, so I can chill and make the most of being with my family. Let's see how I do in the new year! Any goals you'd like to share? Leave them in the comments and we can keep eachother accountable! Best of luck! Finally this week, a heads up for the usual seasonal downtime. JabunAudio will be closed for the winter break from Friday 21st December 2018 to Friday 4th January 2019, during which I will be unable to carry out any audio work. Any communications during this period may also receive delayed responses, though feel free to message me and I'll get to any messages by Friday 4th January. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience, and I look forward to working with you when I get back! Of course the blog post will be on hiatus during that period too meaning the last blog post of the year will be out on Thursday 21st December before a 2 week break and returning on Thursday 10th of January 2019! Hope you don't miss me too much and I look forward to sharing more music with you all in the new year! And that about wraps things up for this blog post! The coming week looks to be very busy writing (words) rather than mixing as I tackle all these articles and scheduled Patreon posts. Hoping to get back to mixing the new Better Than The Book album very soon! In the mean time, thanks as always for stopping by to read the JabunAudio blog and supporting JabunAudio and my various projects! Hope you have a great week until the next one, only 2 more blog posts until the winter break, and take care!

Music with a purpose. :) I like the motivation there! And great news overall. For a moment I read that 'Friday 4th January 2019' as February 4. XD Would've been quite some vacation time... maybe you need it though! Cheers on all this great stuff and looking forward to the grand finale before that yearly countdown begins anew!

Cheers Cyber :D Hehe! Indeed a holiday until February would be pretty excessive! I feel like a break would be good, but I think I'd start getting bored if I had no audio work to do for THAT long... All the best to you too :) Just one more post left of the year, so not long until break time :D

Amen to that! :D (Still, a little break is always nice, more to see the family and friends and visit my hometown haunts XD)
