Hello everyone! It's been a pretty heads down and quiet week here are JabunAudio with only a few little updates to tell. Most of my days have been spent working more on the A P O T H E O S I S soundtrack which is going well, and also composing the drum parts for the upcoming Better Than The Book album (more updates on that in a moment). Other than that, not really much to share apart from the weekly cover song, so let's start off with that! So, first on the news in this blog post, it's week 5 of the acoustic cover songs dedicated to my parents, and this time I'm sharing a lovely 90's ska-punk classic, "The Impression That I Get" by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones! This has got to be one of my favourite ska-punk tracks of all time, and I hope I did it justice in this recording (I'm happy with the way it turned out). I hope you enjoy it, and stop by next week for the final track dedicated to my parents, a very Johnny Cash esq version of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. Happy listening! Next and lastly for the JabunAudio news this week, just a few little updates on how the upcoming Better Than The Book album is going. As of yesterday, 9 out of 10 drum tracks have been composed now, and 8 of those have been set up in sessions ready for guitar recording once the guitars are serviced! It's all coming together and I aim to have all of these drum/recording sessions sorted by this time next week. Gotta get some more guitar practice in before the red light is on so I'll be squeezing some that in when I can! That's about it for this week. Next week is looking to be much of the same though we shall see how it goes. If appropriate it'll be good to start servicing some guitars ready for BTTB recording, though I'll focus on trying to finish the A P O T H E O S I S work before I start. Anyways, hope you have a great week whatever you're up to and thanks as always for stopping by to support JabunAudio and my various projects. Until the next blog post, take care!

Another cover definitely well done.. though if it's true to the original or not I can nae judge, should probably listen to that one too soon! Always interesting when you listen to a cover version of something first, and as that's the first version you hear the cover somehow becomes the 'original'...

Many thanks :D The original has a lot more brass in it, but other than that (and not being acoustic) I think it's pretty similar to this version! I certainly know that feeling too about the cover feeling more like the original than the original sometimes. Interesting stuff!
