Hello everyone and hope you had a lovely week whatever you were up to. This week was a chill one for me working on more Better Than The Book and some admin stuff as well as going away for the weekend to celebrate Chinese New Year which was a whole lot of fun! Similarly to last week, there's not a lot of new media to share apart from the latest cover song, but there's some updates on upcoming projects to tell so I hope you enjoy that. Let's start with the latest cover song! First in the news for this blog post, it's week 6 out of 8 of the cover songs I recorded as Christmas gifts to my loved ones, and this week it's the final song dedicated to my parents, a very Johnny Cash version of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails (I'm sure you know the one)! I must say, this one was a challenge to try and do justice to, but I'm confident to say, although not straying far from the "original", I think this is one of my best recorded/produced cover performances to date! I hope you enjoy it and I'd love to know your thoughts if you'd like to share them. Without further wait, here's "Hurt": And with this track, that concludes the "Merry Christmas The Dings 2017" EP! I hope you enjoyed the 6 cover songs and in case you missed any, you can explore the complete EP on the new dedicated webpage by >>>clicking here<<<. Next week we start a brand new short series, 2 acoustic rap covers dedicated to my girlfriend Eva for Christmas 2017, starting with a mashup version of Papercut/PPR-KUT by Linkin Park! Hope you enjoy it and tune in next week to have a listen. Next on the news, some more updates on the upcoming Better Than The Book album! As of the end of last week, every song now has a fully composed drum track ready to start recording imminently! Similarly as with the lyrics, these are subject to some changes/edits as necessary before the final release, but as opposed to the simple loops I set up when composing the rest of the arrangement, these are all fully fledged drum performances complete with fills and everything you'd expect. Next on the production list, I need to service my guitars, then it'll be time to track the rhythm guitars (and possibly some leads), but there's some other projects I'd like to finish before I concentrate on this (more on that in a second). Overall, things are a tiny bit behind my initially planned schedule, but not beyond recovery. I look forward to sharing more information with you when I can and feel free to follow Better Than The Book on Twitter for more frequent updates, as well as (mostly) daily posts. Finally for this week some small updates on other upcoming projects. It's been a bit of a break from A P O T H E O S I S this week while I've waited for feedback on the latest additions to the composition, but having received approval, I'll be mixing that right after I finish this blog post! There's a second piece to do in this batch for the game, which is a variation on the to-be-mixed piece I mentioned, so I plan on finishing both of these before I start recording guitars for the new Better Than The Book album. With any luck it shouldn't be too long and I look forward to sharing the latest (and greatest) additions to the soundtrack in the coming month! In other projects, I just this morning received the initial mix for the delayed Black Sabbath esq collaboration with Subu Nomo, "Saboteur" and it is sounding glorious! Still a couple of little tweaks to do, but this one should be finished soon too and I look forward to sharing it. And that about wraps it up for the news this week. Next week is looking to be very much concentrated on working on A P O T H E O S I S again, as well as possibly starting to service some guitars ready to start recording for Better Than The Book shortly. New cover as usual to share next week and I'm sure there'll be more updates to tell too. As always, thank you for reading and supporting JabunAudio and my various projects and I hope you have a splendid week until the next update. Take care!

Ah, would be curious to know about the sites you know about, if you know them by memory?
